The Fastest Supercars The Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X Can Beat From 0-60 MPH

We don’t have exact zero-to-sixty numbers available for the 2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X just yet. The hybrid hypercar is still a few months out, and we’ll need to actually see it on the track before we know precisely where it ranks among the quickest cars ever made. But we do know that, with a takeoff time estimated at less than two seconds, it’s part of a very exclusive club, coming out ahead of the vast majority of production cars, supercars, and even experimental hand-built one-offs.

We can’t wait to get our stopwatches out and see exactly what this automotive freak of nature can achieve on the blacktop. In the meantime, here are the supercars the new Corvette leaves in the dust.

McLaren W1

0-60 In 2.7 Seconds

Using a hybrid powertrain to boost its performance specs, just like the ZR1X, the McLaren W1 shoots to 60 mph in just under three seconds. Like the ZR1X, the W1 was intended to double as a daily driver. Unlike the ZR1X, the McLaren W1 is basically unobtainium at this point, as McLaren only produced 399 of them, and they’re all spoken for.

McLaren 750S

0-60 In 2.7 Seconds

The 750S, the McLaren’s sequel to the 720S, managed to squeeze a bit more power out of the whole deal with increased turbocharger boost pressure, a lower curb weight (3,062 lbs to the 720S’s weight of 3,128 lbs), and a shorter final drive ratio, cutting the 0-60 time down to 2.7 seconds. A lightweight carbon-fiber tub and active rear wing don’t hurt matters, either.

2024 Chevrolet Corvette Z06

0-60 In 2.6 Seconds

Like the young gorilla knocking the old king monkey out of the tree (or whatever the hell it is they do, we’re a car website, not National Geographic) the ZR1X zips right past its older sibling with a twin-turbocharged and electrified version of the Gemini V8 engine they share. We wouldn’t say that the ZR1X makes the Z06 obsolete, though, as some drivers swear by naturally-aspirated ICE engines, and the Z06’s price tag sits comfortably in the low six-figure range, where the ZR1X could come in at around a quarter million dollars once your taxes and title are paid off.

Aston Martin Valhalla

0-60 In 2.5 Seconds

The Aston Martin Valhalla utilizes the same engineering solutions as the ZR1X to get up to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds, with a pair of turbos and electrification. Unlike the ZR1X, this one is a plug-in with two electric motors. The Corvette’s new charging system is one-hundred-percent internalized, with a single motor in the front axle, contributing an extra 186 hp to bring it up to its incredible 1,250-horse total.

Koenigsegg Jesko

0-60 In 2.5 Seconds

Koenigsegg is almost synonymous with hybrid supercars at this point, but the Jesko was all gas, utilizing a V8 with a couple of turbochargers to get it up to speed in two and a half seconds. 1,280 hp is the premium gasoline rating. If you want to juice it up with some E85, you can get those numbers up to 1,603 hp. This car’s secret weapon: advanced titanium engine components, including the world’s lightest V8 crankshaft, plus pistons and connecting rods you could just about drop on your toe without worry.

Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale

0-60 In 2.4 Seconds

Another twin-turbo hybrid. Pretty much the only way to stay competitive on the quarter mile these days is to make use of every propulsive force available. Give it another five years and we’re willing to bet that a top ten list of the world’s quickest supercars will be made up entirely of turbo-hybrids. The XX version of the SF90 uses three electric motors to get the overall horsepower up, and carbon fiber to get the weight, plus the 0-60 time, down.

Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport

0-60 In 2.3 Seconds

The Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport has one of the most beautifully excessive engines on the scene today. The sixteen-cylinder engine produces 1,000 hp, an electric motor system adds another 160 horses to the mix, and four turbochargers bring the total up to 1,479 hp. We’re not saying we’d ever personally spend three and a half million dollars on a single car, but we can at least see where the money’s going on this one.

2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1

0-60 In 2.3 Seconds

The middle child among Chevrolet’s holy trinity, making it the Son (or whatever, we’re a car site not a theological resource). The ZR1 is the first turbocharged Corvette, adding a pair of turbos to the already-imposing 5.5-liter Gemini, making it the most powerful American V8 in a production car to-date. The latest version of the ZR1 coupe comes in just shy of $200,000, and the price doesn’t seem to be going down anytime soon.

Lamborghini Revuelto

Twelve cylinders and a plug-in electrical system make this $604,363 all-wheel-driver Lamborghini’s most powerful car. It’s also the brand’s lightest twelve-cylinder, with three motors and an engine that can direct its power to just the front, or just the rear wheels, as needed. The Revuelto’s onboard 3.8 kWh battery will charge to full in thirty minutes when plugged in, or via regenerative braking and the engine in six minutes.

It’s amazing that the 918 is staying in the conversation more than a decade after it was first launched.
