Tesla Cybertruck Now Has Six Additional Wrap Colors To Choose From

Key Takeaways

  • Tesla now offers 11 wrap colors for the Cybertruck, including new options.
  • The prices for the protection film went down.
  • The self-healing, urethane-based film protects the Cybertruck’s stainless steel body from scratches.

After adding three new wrap colors for the Cybertruck last month, Tesla has now added six more options to choose from – all currently available for viewing on the Official Tesla Shop website. These new wrap colors provide more customization options for current and upcoming owners.

The new wrap colors are Forest Green, Satin Crimson Red, Iridescent Purple, Tactical Green, Satin Dark Grey, and Copper Tinted Clear. They are added to the five existing colors – Satin Rose Gold, Satin Abyss Blue, Slip Grey, Satin Stealth Black, and Satin Ceramic White – bringing the total wrap color options to 11.

What About Pricing?

All the wrap colors, including the existing ones, come with a $6,500 price tag – except for the Slip Grey, Satin Stealth Black, and Satin Ceramic White, priced at $6,000. While still relatively expensive, these are actually $500 lower than previously offered. There’s a catch: the new colors are currently listed as “Out of Stock” and “Coming Soon” for the Cybertruck. Interested Cybertruck owners can sign up, so they will be notified once they hit the market.

The colored versions aren’t the only ones getting a price cut. The Satin Clear paint film is also now slightly cheaper at $5,000. The new hues are also added to the available wrap colors for the Model 3 and Model Y, priced at $6,000.

Scratch Protection

Like the existing color options, the new ones are self-healing, urethane-based film, claimed to be twice as thick as vinyl. They are meant to cover all stainless steel parts of the Cybertruck, protecting the delicate body from scratches. Whether they could protect the body from supposed oxidation and other harmful elements, we’re not sure at this point. Then again, the Tesla Cybertruck’s lead engineer was adamant that the stainless steel body was not rusting, so this should be the least of the owners’ concerns right now.

The Cybertruck wraps can be installed at Tesla service centers in West Covina, Oceanside, Costa Mesa, and Santa Clara, California. The automaker has also made it available in Austin, Texas.
