Mulliner Creates One-Off Bentley Bentayga To Celebrate A War Hero
White returned home a war hero and received the Victoria Cross for his gallantry. He then started an apprenticeship in a local raincoat factory, where he quickly rose through the ranks and became the factory’s sole owner in 1937.
As a nod to Private White’s bravery, Mulliner designed the Bentayga with several copper accents, including seat piping, embroidery, and bespoke features. Bentley’s bespoke division also embroidered Victoria Cross emblems on the headrests to honor White.
Clean sewing lines can also be seen on the doors and seats, representing the style and functionality of military-inspired clothing sold by the Private White V.C. brand. There are Private White V.C. letterings all over the cabin, while loose cushions made from a Lancashire-woven cashmere cloth commemorate Jack White’s regimental blanket stripe.
