Jeep Slashes 2025 Grand Cherokee Prices Up To $4,000
The latest Stellantis brand to announce slashed prices is Jeep. The 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee will see its V6 prices cut for the second year in a row by up to $4,000, with the entry-model Laredo grade starting at just $37,035 plus destination. Jeep is also cutting the number of available trim levels.

Jeep is an off-road SUV brand with roots dating back to World War II when off-roaders were known as jeeps (from GP or General Purpose vehicles). Willys-Overland Motors took the concept mainstream by launching versions for the public to buy, and the brand has built a reputation of being te purest off-road-focused brand ever since. Iconic models like the Wrangler and Grand Cherokee have been staples in the lineup, and the brand currently lays claim to having the best-selling plug-in hybrid in America, the Wrangler 4xe.

To get that low starting price, you will have to forego a few things Jeep buyers might not be willing to sacrifice. Like four-wheel drive. But you can get Jeep’s legendary off-road capability back for $2,000, which is still cheaper than it was for the 2024 model year. The three-row Grand Cherokee L slips under the $40,000 barrier too, with a rear-drive model at $39,035. Four-wheel drive is again $2,000 more, which takes it slightly over the $40k mark.
Jeep’s engine lineup is also simplified for 2025. The 5.7-liter Hemi V8 disappeared from the Grand Cherokee after 2023 and from the three-row Grand Cherokee L in 2024. That leaves the 293-horsepower 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 as the only gas engine available.

Buyers who want a plug-in hybrid model can still get the two-row Grand Cherokee 4xe. Its 2.0-liter turbo-four and electric motor that delivers a combined 375 horsepower and offers up to 25 miles of range is unchanged for 2025 and that includes the pricing. The Grand Cherokee 4xe starts from $60,490 for the Limited and goes to $74,670 for the top-spec Summit. It also includes a $66,185 Trailhawk model.
The lower prices for gas models aren’t limited to the basic trim grades. Buyers up the line can benefit from even larger price cuts.

The Wrangler received an extensive facelift earlier this year, but changes to the Grand Cherokee have been kept to a minimum.
Limited models, which include features like leatherette seats and a power tailgate along with 18-inch wheels, get a price cut of $2,000. The two-row model starts from $42,905 while the three-row is $44,905. Four-wheel drive is $2,000 extra in this grade as well.
Top Trims Get The Biggest Cuts
The Overland, which comes with semi-active damping, a more advanced active 4×4 system, and other luxury features, starts from $56,995, a whopping $4,000 less than in 2024. The top-spec Summit gets its price shaved by the same amount, starting at $58,560 and adding $2,000 for the three-row L model. A number of grades in the middle have been dropped, making the lineup easier to understand for buyers.

Changes are expected for 2026, with the new Grand Cherokee likely getting a facelift and some interior enhancements. The update may not include any new engines, however, as an all-new model is expected in 2027. That one will get internal combination and electric power options. The information comes from the 2023 union agreement between Stellantis and the UAW, so it is subject to change.
