Here’s What A Fully Loaded Mazda CX-90 Will Cost You
The value proposition is a big part of Mazda’s appeal. The brand has been leaning into the luxury segment lately, while keeping their models fairly affordable across the board. These cars feel luxurious in every way but the price tag, and have become a serious contender for brands like Lexus and Acura, decades since they first took a shot at their Japanese competitors with the ill-fated Amati sub-brand.

I Spent A Week In The Mazda CX-90 – Here’s What I Loved And What Drove Me Nuts
There’s a lot to like about the 2024 Mazda CX-90, but there were a few things that I didn’t like at all.
For our purposes, we’re going with the Turbo S Premium Plus, simply because it’s the most expensive of the bunch. But, let’s see what that actually gets us that we’re not getting in a base Turbo Select:
- 340-hp 3.3-liter i6 engine
- Towing mode
- 5,000 lbs towing capacity
- Wireless Android Auto/Apple Carplay
- Auto speed limit assist
- Adaptive front lighting
- Windshield wiper de-icer
- Automatic power folding side mirrors
- Body-colored side molding
- Shark fin antenna 21×9.5 inch aluminum alloy machine cut finish wheels
- More exterior color options
- Interior driver personalization system
- Frameless auto-dimming rearview mirror
- Power tilt & telescopic steering column
- Quilted Nappa leather seats
- Heated seats, front and back row
- Heated steering wheel
- Bose 12-speaker surround sound
- Wireless phone charger
- 12.3-inch center display
- Active driving display with traffic sign recognition
You see what we mean when we say Mazda’s a luxury brand?
The top trim is going to start us out at $56,450. If we add a $1,455 destination charge to the price tag, we’re paying $57,905 on the car alone. Before we start figuring out what that comes out to with taxes and five years of monthly payments, let’s add our goodies.
What Can We Add To Our CX-90?
If we’re building a fully-loaded Mazda CX-90, that means we’re adding pretty much everything we can add to it. Here’s what that gets us:
- Soul red crystal metallic exterior color – $595
- Ambiance – $850
- Premier Tow – $900
- Destination GPS system – $625
- Premier Protection – $650
- Spectrum – $450
- Digital Rearview Mirror – $800
- Running Boards – $800
- Liftgate Garnish – $250
- Pet Ramp – $200
- Pet Restraint – $40
- Pet Seat Protector – $225
- Cargo Blocks – $50
- Navigation SD Card – $500
- Soft Bumper Guard – $100
- Carpet Cargo Mat – $150
- Roadside Assistance Kit – $90
This comes out to $6,680 in accessories, plus $595 for the exterior color, and $1,455 for the destination fee, which brings our current total to $65,180.

The Mazda3 is a great car to buy on a budget, but what if we have a little extra money to spend?
Financing A Mazda CX-90
$65,180 isn’t bad for a mid-size luxury SUV with all the trimmings. But it’s still a bit more than what you might call “walkin’ around money.” Most buyers will be financing the purchase, so let’s see what that’s going to cost us.

When Is Refinancing Your Auto Loan Worth The Headache?
Nobody likes going to the bank or comparing lenders. But, sometimes an afternoon spent gathering paperwork and making calls can save you thousands.
At these numbers we’re taking out $63,090 on the loan itself, and spending 88% on the principal and 12% on the interest.
Is A Fully-Loaded Mazda CX-90 Worth The Price?
It’s hard to argue with the price of a fully-loaded Mazda CX-90. Coming in at just over $65,000 with every single feature we can add to the SUV, it’s still cheaper than some of its competitors entry-level trims. But, a big part of the appeal of the CX-90 is its generous seating, and the top trim only has seating for six. For that reason alone we’d recommend going with the eight-seat 3.3 Turbo Premium if you’re shopping for a big family car.

What Will It Cost You To Buy A Fully-Loaded Mazda CX-70 PHEV?
Here’s what you’ll pay if you tick all of the options boxes for a new, fully-loaded CX-70 plug-in hybrid.
As for the accessories themselves, you’ve got a long list of options, but we like that Mazda isn’t throwing in pointless, expensive features like two hundred bucks each for a bunch of decals and badges. It’s easy to see what makes every optional feature worthwhile, from the pet gear to the premier protection carpeting and liner package. You might not need every single option on here, but whatever you do need can be had at a fair price.
Is A Fully-Loaded Mazda CX-90 The Best Deal In The Three-Row Midsize Category?
Comparing a fully-loaded CX-90 to the competition, the Lexus TX 350 starts at $56,490, and goes up to $65,750 for the F Sport Handling AWD model, and that’s before we’ve added any packages and options to the deal. We don’t even need to elaborate on that. A fully-loaded CX-90 costs about the same as the top-trim F Sport before the options. Point for Mazda.
If you want to go a little cheaper, the Kia Telluride starts at $36,390 for the 2025 model year, and goes up to $53,685 for the SX Prestige X-Pro, which does include some luxury-lite features like Harman Kardon premium audio and heated front seats, but it costs a thousand dollars more than the eight-seat Premium Plus CX-90 without quite delivering the same luxury driving experience.
