Ford Mustang Discount Offered To Owners Of Rival Muscle Cars

Key Takeaways

  • Owners of rival muscle cars from other brands can get $1,000 off a new Ford Mustang
  • Discount available nationwide until the end of April
  • No trade-in or termination of lease needed

Ford has reportedly rolled out a discount on the 2024 Mustang for owners of older muscle cars, even if they’re from a rivaling brand. According to a bulletin sent to Ford dealers, which CarsDirect got hold of, the Blue Oval company has implemented a new Mustang Competitive Conquest Bonus Cash deal, slashing $1,000 off the Mustang’s price, be it an EcoBoost or a GT.

The offer is open to owners and lessees of the outgoing Chevy Camaro, Dodge Challenger, and Charger. Even better, it covers older pony cars as well – as old as a 1995 model – and interested owners don’t need to trade in their cars or terminate their lease. As long as they own or lease one, they’re eligible for the discount.

For A Limited Time Only

The bulletin says that the offer is available nationwide. The catch? It’s only offered until the end of April, so interested parties might want to decide soon. Moreover, if you’re interested in the more powerful Mustang Dark Horse, the offer doesn’t specifically say whether it’s part of the deal.

After the price increase implemented in February, the 2024 Ford Mustang now starts at $30,920 for the EcoBoost Fastback, while the V8-powered Mustang GT Fastback has a starting price of $41,960. The Mustang Dark Horse is even pricier at $58,185. All the mentioned prices exclude destination and handling charges.

The Last Muscle Car Standing

As it stands, the Ford Mustang is the last full-blooded muscle car customers can buy today. The Camaro is on its way out, while Dodge has officially launched an electric Charger, heralding the era of electric muscle cars. While an ICE-powered Charger will still be available, the eight-pot versions are a thing of the past.

That said, the Mustang stands as the last V8-powered muscle car, and with this current offer, owners of rival cars from other brands can take advantage of a substantial price cut.
