2025 Ford Super Duty Arrives With More Luxury And Huge Torque

The 2025 Ford Super Duty is now available to order in F-250, F-350, and F-450 variants. Ford’s most capable pickup truck arrives for the 2025 model year, boasting best-in-class horsepower, torque, towing, and payload, all attributes that are critical for this segment. Truck owners who need extreme capability will love the Super Duty’s three available V8 engines, and customers who crave a bit more comfort during long-distance towing sessions should enjoy the new Platinum Plus Package and refreshed Platinum trim.

“For 2025 Super Duty, we’re adding striking new design options, simplified trailering packages, and convenient hardware and software for upfitters all while maintaining best-in-class maximum available horsepower and torque, towing, and payload. I’d call that a win, win, win for our customers,” said Brian Rathsburg, Super Duty marketing manager, Ford Pro.

As you’d expect, Super Duty pricing ranges drastically depending on feature content and configuration. A base F-250 XL starts at $45,300 (not including a $1,995 destination & delivery fee), while a loaded F-450 Platinum costs $94,035 before options. The top Limited trim has been dropped for 2025, as it was for the 2025 F-150. Here’s what you need to know about the 2025 Super Duty:

Enhanced Luxury

The Platinum trim, which is second only to the Limited, has been revamped for 2025 with a Black Onyx interior featuring Platinum Blue accents. On the outside, it gets a black grille, tailgate applique, and body-color door handles. Customers can add a new Platinum Plus Package, which includes a satin finish grille, Smoked Truffle interior with perforated Venetian leather and French stitching, max recline seats, and a 2 kW Pro Power Onboard generator in the bed. This package comes with Platinum Plus Ownership, giving owners a personalized gift plus Blue Tier status for the Ford Pass Rewards program. That enables unlimited virtual tours to explain vehicle features, one-on-one texting with product experts, and a 20% discount on accessories for the first 90 days.

Slightly lower in the lineup, the Lariat trim now gets ActiveX synthetic seat material, which is designed to suit an “active lifestyle.” Two new exterior colors have been added: Avalanche and

Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat. The Updated Black Appearance Package has also been updated to combine the outgoing Black Appearance Package and Sport Appearance Package.

Class-Leading Power

Truck owners who want the most capable truck will once again gravitate to the Super Duty. A 6.8-liter gasoline pushrod V8 comes standard on the XL, XLT, and Lariat trim levels, producing 405 hp and 445 lb-ft of torque. That engine is based on the larger 7.3-liter “Godzilla” V8, which comes standard on King Ranch and Platinum and delivers 430 hp and 485 lb-ft, the most of any gas engine in the segment. Every Super Duty can be upgraded to the 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbo-diesel V8, producing a class-leading 500 hp and 1,200 lb-ft in High Output form (475 hp and 1,050 lb-ft standard). All engines come paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission with best-in-class towing capability of 40,000 pounds and payload capacity of 8,000 pounds.

Order books for the 2025 Super Duty are now open with assembly taking place at Ford’s Kentucky Truck Plant and Ohio Assembly Plant. Pricing is as follows:
