Deva Review: A Poor Retelling of Deva-stating & Derogatory Thriller

Deva opened with Rs. 5.50 crore nett on Friday and saw minimal growth with Rs. 6.50 crore nett on Saturday. The Sunday figures somehow managed to hit the Rs. 7 crore nett mark, bringing the opening weekend total to Rs. 19 crore nett. On Monday, there was an expected decline in numbers, and now Tuesday figures have also seen a dip.

Deva collected approximately 2.20-2.25 crore nett on Tuesday, which is about a 10% drop from Monday’s numbers. The film is heavily relying on the Mumbai circuit, as this territory alone is contributing around Rs. 10 crore nett to its total. The action thriller will be looking to hit the 25 crore nett mark today and end the first week total at approximately 27 crore nett.

The upcoming weekend has three more releases: Interstellar (re-release), Badass Ravi Kumar, and Loveyapa, so Deva is likely to lose most of its screens and premium shows. The overall business of the film will be in the range of 33-35 crore in the best case, unless some miracle happens and it performs well in the second weekend. The box office verdict will be “FLOP.”

Below are the collections of Deva in India:

Friday – 5.50 crore nett

Saturday – 6.50 crore nett

Sunday – 7 crore nett

Monday – 2.50 crore nett

Tuesday – 2.25 crore nett

Total – 23.75 crore nett approx.
