Facing this problem, an individual took to social media platform Reddit to figure out exactly how they could spruce up the dirty grout in their home.

There were a couple of suggestions that made the list. One person proposed using White King Mould & Soap Scum Remover.

And another Redditor suggested sokaing paper towel/toilet paper in cheap bleach and sticking it to the dirty grout spots so it holds in place.

They advised to leave it on for as long as possible, approximately 12 hours plus, stating that it would “do the trick.”

If you’re looking for more methods to clean grout that don’t involve bleach, other techniques have been revealed.

Giving advice in a Facebook cleaning group someone wrote: “Shaving foam, cheaper the better. It works instantly like magic on stained grout.”

Apply an even layer of the foam on the stained grout area and allow it to sit for a few minutes. After this, use an old toothbrush to scrub away at the dirt.
