Pininfarina Battista Reversario Is A Special-Edition With A Unique Paint Scheme

Back in 2020, Pininfarina announced five Anniversario hypercars based on the Battista. Now, a client has reversed that special edition’s color scheme.

Key Takeaways

  • The Pininfarina Battista Reversario inverts the paint scheme from the Anniversario edition.
  • Commissioned by the owner of the fifth of five Battista Anniversario models.
  • Pininfarina says this scheme will never be repeated.

Say hello to the Pininfarina Battista Reversario. Pininfarina’s first self-branded car, the Battista, was revealed in 2019, and just 150 were planned for production. A year later, the design house announced that five of these all-electric hypercars would become known as celebratory Anniversario editions, making a very rare car even more unique through a complex paint scheme that highlights the lines of the sculpted body.

But that wasn’t exclusive enough for the owner of the fifth of five Anniversario models, so the one-off Reversario was born, and its name is a clue to what makes it special – its paint job is the inverse of an Anninversario’s. Pininfarina says this particular one-of-a-kind look won’t be repeated.

Magical Colors

The lower half of the Pininfarina Battista Reversario is finished in a glossy white paint called Bianco Sestriere, while the top is painted grey, specifically Grigio Antonelliano. Where the two colors meet, pinstripes in Iconica Blu add a splash of contrast that is repeated in the brake calipers. Closer inspection reveals that the undersides of each piece of the active rear wing bear the name of this one-off special edition.

Pininfarina PURA Vision Revealed With Wild Gullwing Roof And Suicide Doors

The PURA Vision will be publically unveiled at Monterey Car Week later this month.

Inside, the dark theme of the Anniversario is uplifted slightly by having the Pilota seats finished in quilted white-on-white Alcantara quilting with a perforated Iconica Blu background. This blue hue helps uplift the cabin with further accents, but the hypercar retains a purposeful look with mostly black elements.

Future Pininfarina Projects

The Pininfarina Battista is based on the Rimac Nevera, and like any hypercar, there are bound to be dozens of unique takes on specifying colors and materials, but the design house isn’t only focused on two-door hypercars. Pininfarina has a hydrogen V8 SUV in the works and showed us a stunning four-door concept called the PURA Vision with a gullwing roof and suicide doors. Hopefully, these will reach production before long.
