The 2025 Cadillac CT5 Is A Lot More Expensive
Key Takeaways
- Entry-level 2025 Cadillac CT5 is $9,200 more expensive than before
- The cheapest 2024 trim has been dropped, all other variants get price increases
- CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing pricing to follow
The 2025 Cadillac CT5 luxury sedan is considerably more expensive than last year’s model, with a new base price of $47,595. That’s an eye-watering increase of $9,200, and it’s not just because pricing has gone up but because the most affordable trim has been scrapped.
Per the order guides, the entry-level Luxury trim is no more. For MY2024, this variant carried an MSRP of $38,395. The new lowest entry point to the Cadillac CT5 lineup is the $47,595 Premium Luxury trim. This model has received an increase, arriving with a price $4,700 higher than its 2024 counterpart, which was stickered at $42,895.
Should you want to upgrade to the Sport trim, expect to fork out $48,595, an increase of $4,500 compared to the MY2024 CT5 Sport.

More Expensive, But Upgrades Make It Worthwhile
The updated 2025 CT5 brought with it several improvements, including refreshed styling and a 33-inch infotainment screen with 9K resolution and Google built-in. There are also new safety features, such as blind zone steering assist and automatic emergency braking (at intersections). Both come as standard, but customers can specify Super Cruise as an optional extra. Aside from these revisions, customers can also choose from new paint colors.

LISTEN: Cadillac’s Opulent Velocity Concept Makes A Bizarre Noise
We can’t quite put our finger on the sound it makes, but at least the car seems to be something wide and low.
The CT5 continues to be offered with turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder and 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engines. The former produces 237 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, while the latter offers a potent 335 hp and 405 lb-ft. Both variants are available exclusively with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Despite the price increase, the CT5 still represents great value compared to rivals such as the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes C-Class, which are physically smaller and offer less interior space.
And What About The CT5-V And CT5-V Blackwing?
The CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing were revealed earlier this year, so we expect pricing to arrive soon. For the record, the 2023 CT5 was revealed in September and we only got pricing now, so it may be a long wait. Still, with the same cosmetic updates as the regular CT5 lineup, along with additional tech, we expect the performance versions to receive an equally high price bump. As a reminder, the current CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing retail for $51,495 and $93,495, respectively.
As such, we would not be surprised if the CT5-V Blackwing sells for more than $100,000 when official pricing is released later this year.
