Electric Range Rover Prototypes Spied With Drastically Lowered Roofline
Jaguar will continue to leverage the Modular Longitudinal Architecture (MLA) used in the current Range Rover and Range Rover Sport, which can adopt electric, hybrid, and combustion powertrains. That architecture is also the more off-road-focused platform, while the EMA underpinning this Range Rover Velar Electric is more road-biased.
More details will come to light soon as we expect a market launch close to 2026 of the electric Velar. Nevertheless, we expect dual-motor powertrains to be the standard, and it’s not beyond the realm of possibility to expect 600 horsepower variants as the range-toppers at launch.
