Polkadot’s Treasury spent $87M (11M DOT) in H1 2024, with 13% via executive bodies. The Treasury holds $245M (38M DOT) in assets, including $188M (29M DOT) liquid and $8M in stablecoins, plus $16M (2.5M DOT) for more stablecoin purchases.

Allocations include $24.5M (3.8M DOT) for marketing, DeFi tooling, gaming, and business development, and $6.4M (1M DOT) for gaming airdrops. Polkadot also added 1.6M DOT (~$10M) to DeFi markets.

With the current spending rate, funds will last about two years. This has led to discussions on stricter budgeting and potential changes to inflation parameters.
