Full Carbon-Bodied Porsche 912c Restomod Weighs Less Than 1,550 LBS

KAMManufaktur has announced a new option for its Porsche 912-style restomod, namely the ability to build it with a full carbon fiber body. The company’s original 912c arrived in 2022 with a carbon fiber-heavy body, but there were still elements of steel, such as the roof and rear quarter panels. This model weighed just 1,653 pounds.

“At KAMM, we always look for new ways to save weight while also enhancing driving dynamics,” said company founder Miklos Kazmer. “With the full carbon 912c, we aim to save weight from the back and top of the car to get as close to 50-50 weight distribution as possible.”

With this upgrade, the KAMM 912c now weighs just 1,541 lbs, a 661-lb saving over a regular 912c and more than 110 lbs lighter than KAMM’s previous semi-carbon body, which is also still available to order.
