Enormous Nissan Z Car Meet Is Classic Sports Car Heaven

At the testing facility’s parking lot, Z cars were neatly organized by generation, starting from pretty and clean examples of the Datsun 240Z.

Even older models were there, too, like the Fairlady 2000, which came out in 1959 and predated the first Z car. About 40,000 of these classic beauties were made by Datsun until 1970. Not a limited run by the standards of that era, but with it being so old, only a few are left seen running, even in the Land Of The Rising Sun. This is also the car that launched the racing career of legendary film actor Paul Newman.

Japanese folks also seem to appreciate US domestic market rides because several immaculately kept left-hand-drive Nissan 280ZX cars were present during the event.

Parked in the “classics” section of the outdoor event was a scarce 2+2 (four-seater), distinguishable from its two-seater siblings due to a longer wheelbase and body.
