777 Hypercar’s 9K-RPM Engine Gets Even More Power

Several motorsport icons are involved in Project 777. The carbon fiber monocoque chassis was designed in collaboration with Dallara, which builds its own track-only supercar but is most famous for providing cars for spec racing series like IndyCar, Formula 2, Formula 3, and the FIA World Endurance Championship.

Gibson Technology supplies the engine, and it’s effectively an LMP1-spec endurance racing engine unleashed to its full potential. In the Rebellion R13 LMP1 racer, it was restricted to 670 hp, but since the 777 does not have to meet any homologation regulations, it can be as unhinged as the company wants.

Sparco was in charge of safety, and it used lessons learned from Formula 1 to create the safety cell. With that tie-in, each owner will receive a complete Sparco racing kit, including gloves, a race suit, and custom-made shoes. Finally, Stilo, also using its experience in F1, will provide a helmet with an integrated radio.
