10 Supercars That Are Faster Than The Rivian R1T Pickup Truck

The Rivian R1T high-performance pickup truck first arrived on the market in 2022 and has been receiving constant updates since. The 2025 edition was revealed earlier this month; the new range-topping Quad-Motor variant’s performance can rival a supercar, hitting 60 mph in a mere two and a half seconds. There are some cars out there that can claim a similar or lower figure, but not that many; here are ten supercars that can get from 0 to 60 faster than the Rivian R1T, sorted from the slowest to the fastest.

10 Lamborghini Revuelto

0-60 mph: 2.5 seconds

Lamborghini’s first plug-in hybrid V12 supercar (in Lamborghini’s own words, an “HPEV” or High-Performance Electrified Vehicle) is a new arrival on the scene for 2024. It combines all the iconic styling cues the Italian brand is famous for with a four-figure power output (1,001 hp) produced by three electric motors paired with a 6.5-liter V12. The electric motors contribute 148 hp each, while the V12 produces 814 hp. The Revuelto’s design is sharp-angled and futuristic, borrowing elements from legendary Lambos of the past, such as the Countach, and bringing them into the future for what the company calls a “new Space Race” look.

9 Chevrolet Corvette C8 E-Ray

0-60 mph: 2.5 seconds

The first hybrid vehicle to carry the iconic Corvette nameplate, the E-Ray also made its debut for the 2024 model year. Its 6.2-liter LT2 V8 is combined with one electric motor for a total output of 655 hp. A “Stealth” driving mode allows the E-Ray to drive under electric power only, and power is sent to all four wheels in the most efficient way possible thanks to the intelligent eAWD system. While most of the classic C8 Corvette styling cues remain, the E-Ray does come with a few unique design elements that help distinguish it from its gas-powered siblings, such as an Electric Blue body-length stripe.

8 Bugatti Chiron Super Sport

0-60 mph: 2.4 seconds

One of the last special editions of the legendary Bugatti Chiron, the Super Sport is powered by an 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine, producing an astonishing 1,578 hp. While its performance figures are not far off from those of the Super Sport 300+, the Super Sport has more of a focus on luxury, balancing track-ready performance with a plush interior similar to that found in the standard Chiron. The key design element that sets the Super Sport apart is its elongated rear end, which gives the car a striking silhouette, maximizes its aerodynamic capability and gives it better stability even at its top speed of 273 mph.

7 Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale

0-60 mph: 2.3 seconds

The first road-legal model in Ferrari’s XX series (hence the name “Stradale”, Italian for “for the road”), the SF90 XX Stradale is a high-performance version of the SF90 Stradale, combining a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with three electric motors to produce a total of 1,016 hp. Distinguishing itself from its non-XX sibling, the XX Stradale comes with a more aggressive style, its visible vents and air intakes emphasizing its dual nature of road-legal car and track-ready beast. A fixed rear wing was added to create downforce, and the regular Stradale’s taillights were swapped out for a sleek light bar.

6 Ultima RS LT5

0-60 mph: 2.3 seconds

The Ultima RS, the most extreme supercar built by the British firm, was first unveiled at the 2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed. Designed to fit Chevrolet’s LT V8 engines, the Ultima comes in a variety of power levels, with the top-level spot being occupied by the 800-hp LT5 (an optional 1,200-hp upgrade pack was also made available). All engines are paired with a six-speed manual transmission borrowed from Porsche. The Ultima RS’ design takes cues from iconic race cars of the past, most notably Group C endurance racers. But the RS isn’t just about on-track performance; a number of creature comforts are also available, including parking sensors, air conditioning, and navigation functions.

5 Tesla Roadster (Second Generation)

0-60 mph: 1.9 seconds

As is the case with the R1T, the second-generation Tesla Roadster’s 0-60 claim has no concrete proof for the time being, but since both Tesla and Rivian are adamant about their figures, the Roadster gets a spot on the list. The Roadster had a challenging path from concept to customers, but after several delays, the first and second-gen Roadsters are now due to be delivered to their owners next year. Power comes from three electric motors, one in the front and two in the back; the total power output figure hasn’t been released, but if the Model S Plaid is anything to go by, it should be somewhere in the four-figure region.

4 Koenigsegg Gemera

0-60 mph: 1.9 seconds

Introduced to the world under difficult circumstances in March 2020 due to the cancelation of the Geneva Motor Show at the start of the pandemic, the Koenigsegg Gemera is the pioneer for a whole new class of sports car: unlike Koenigsegg’s previous creation, it has four seats, making it a mega-Grand Tourer capable of hypercar speeds while transporting four people. Small wonder, then, that this unique vehicle had a limited production run: only 300 units were produced. Two choices of powertrain were available: the 2.0-liter, twin-turbo three-cylinder TFG (“Tiny Friendly Giant”), combined with one electric motor to produce 1,381 hp, or the HV8 (“Hot V8”) borrowed from the Jesko, which combined with the electric motor produces 2,269 hp.

3 Pininfarina Battista

0-60 mph: 1.86 seconds

The Pininfarina Battista hyper-GT’s main claim to fame is being the most powerful road-legal Italian car ever built, with a power output of 1,877 hp produced by its four electric motors. Combining beauty and performance, the Battista embodies the spirit of the great Italian sports car while keeping an eye toward the future with its aerodynamic profile and all-electric powertrain. Five driving modes are available, from the chilled-out “Calma” mode to the all-out “Furiosa”. There is also a customizable mode called Carattere (“character”) which allows the driver to choose their preferred settings. A number of special editions of the Battista have been released over the years, from a tribute to the first Formula 1 champion to a futuristic version of a historical Lancia concept.

2 Rimac Nevera

0-60 mph: 1.74 seconds

The Rimac Nevera all-electric hypercar was first introduced as a prototype in 2021 before 150 units went into production for the 2022 model year. Power comes from four motors producing a combined output of 1,877 horsepower. With its active aerodynamics and monocoque chassis, the Nevera looks and feels more like a race car while still remaining road-legal; in 2023, it became the fastest road-legal electric car to run the Goodwood hillclimb in the UK. And just under a year ago the Nevera Time Attack, an even smaller-scale limited edition (only 12 units were built) set a record at the Nürburgring for fastest electric production car.

The Aspark Owl may not be a household name, except in the homes of hardcore gearheads, but according to Aspark itself,, it is the fastest accelerating production car on earth. The Owl is entirely propelled by electric power, with two 40kW motors producing a combined output of 429 hp sent to all four wheels. The secret to its astonishing acceleration lies in its power-to-weight ratio: the Owl only weighs 1,900 pounds thanks to its all-carbon body. Aspark’s 1.72-second claim may not be backed up by robust evidence, but the Owl still firmly remains a member of the two-seconds-and-under club.
